Situated in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife, 12 Miles from St Andrews Homelands is a charitable trust providing luxury accessible self-catering ACCO in 9 purpose built lodges.
The luxury 4* lodges have been purpose built for people with disabilities, long term health conditions and life limiting illnesses, consequently a wealth of features have been incorporated into the designs to ensure they are accessible. The ground floor bedrooms are all fitted with a Guldmann H-frame ceiling tracking hoist and one profiling bed per room with either a pressure relief airflow mattress or Invacare softform mattress, please check with us for more details.
Our spacious lodges sleep up to 8 people, perfect for family get togethers. 7 of our lodges are pet friendly.
Each Lodge has a large wetroom on the ground floor which also benefits from a Guldmann H-frame ceiling tracking hoist and ‘Clos-o-mat’ toilets are provided in four of the lodges (Drummochy, Durham, Cardy and Largo). In addition to the fixed equipment we also have a wide range of portable specialist equipment available free of charge on request, including: a shower trolley, portable hoist, Freeway shower chair/commode (assisted/unassisted), Oxford electric stand aid and assisted and manual wheelchairs.
Homelands is located in the tranquil village of Lundin Links, overlooking the Firth of Forth across to Edinburgh. The East Neuk with its beautiful rolling countryside, rugged coastline and picturesque fishing villages are within a short drive. The lodges are also within close proximity to St Andrews, the Home of Golf and are only an hour's drive away from Edinburgh.
